The inspiration for this project came from my desire to create a unique mirror utilizing some stock of Finland Color Phenolic Birch Plywood – thus exhibiting numerous layers of ply, and exploring the application of copper sheets on the front surface. The solid plywood frame displays an inside bevel, as well as a bevel at the back outside of the frame.
The copper plates were cut to fit the custom pattern displayed and attached with copper nails. The copper received a custom patina application.
