This project evolved out of the wish to create a distinctive table/cart utilizing some unique materials I had sat aside for some time – teak columns, acrylic, and some great stainless steel castors.
Each level of the maple frames are doweled, and are supported with the teak columns. The colored acrylic pieces are adhered to ¼” thick glass and simply inlayed at each level. Recessed threaded rods hold the top maple frame to the bottom maple frame, and are topped off with custom maple end grain plugs.
Each maple frame features light bevel edge details. Specialty stainless steel swivel castors guide the cart effortlessly.
