This project evolved from the desire to create a unique mirror incorporating a diverse mix of turned pieces. The turned pieces are projecting from a 16” poplar ring that is floated 11/16” above the beveled mirror with discreetly placed dowels.
The mirror and mirror backing were drilled with ½” holes to accommodate the ½” dowels. There are 18 turned pieces which are painted 9 different colors which allows for each color to be shown opposite itself around the poplar ring. The 18 turned pieces are in a defined order to allow for a specific repeat design.
