This project evolved from my desire to create a unique lamp using some of my one-of-a-kind aeronautical hardware that had yet to find itself in a design piece. That led to a quick sketch which led to further computer dimensioning. The prototype was crafted in MDF board and poplar wood (both stained to portray the final walnut result). The lamp shade required a simple jig to be made to insure the wooden slats and mica pieces align perfectly perpendicular to the upper and lower lampshade wheel frames. The final two images are with the actual walnut wood.

  • Dimensions 30” x 3-1/4” x 36 tall
